The Campaign Enters the Final Week.

Naqvi has been active over the past week, appearing on Islam TV, (hosted by a familiar face) and joining the protest for Gaza. A number of memes have surfaced supporting her campaign as have a number of old-fashioned posters and placards. Ceasefire in Gaza and “freeing Palestine” were prominent in her campaign, (as was a former Labour Leader and former Labour MP, see below). Currently, the Naqvi campaign is making the greatest impact locally. That may, or may not, translate into votes, but the clock is ticking now.

Labour has also been out. The latest leaflet champions the low council tax, (legacy of Robin Wales?) and cleaning up the streets. Good to see the commitment to clean up the streets, but hasn’t Mayor Fiaz headed a Labour administration for five years. Why, voters will inevitably ask, hasn’t she done something before this to sort the street cleaning out?

We are hoping to get some of the material from the other parties and will share this in due course.
