It seems that Newham Council have taken a new approach to housing the homeless. Here we see their latest initiative centred on Manor Park Neighbourhood Centre.

On Friday night Mayor Fiaz was championing the striking dockworkers of yesteryear. On Monday she was in conflict with the striking bin workers of today.

Funny that.

Again, we see the hypocrisy of the Labour Party in Newham. Decrying private landlords, when almost a quarter of the council are private landlords. Let’s see what we can uncover this time.

Labour insiders have recently returned to the progress being made by Councillor Luke Charters, who spreads his time running his own business, campaigning for the parliamentary seat in York, starting his own family and being a Deputy Cabinet member in Newham.

It seems that Mehmood Mirza has not let up on his campaign to get Newham Council to clean up the borough. Mayor Fiaz has been vociferous in her promises to improve the state of the streets in Newham. The evidence of this improvement is yet to be seen.

Just what is happening to the antisemitism inquiry into the postings and beliefs of Cllr Guana?

Former councillor, Andrew Baikie enquired as to why it was that Newham council tax payers have suffered a 20% hike in council tax payments over the last four years, (with the implication that the same will happen over the next four years.

The former Chair of this august body is now, not only a councillor, but has been elevated to the role of Deputy Cabinet Member and Bag-Carrier-In-Chief for She who must be obeyed; he has his sights set upon even higher office as we have seen elsewhere.

We understand that Cllr Shantu Ferdous is taking Newham Council to court!

In order to vote in an election you have to be registered to vote at an address that is your permanent (or sometimes, temporary) home. It is an offence to mislead or falsely declare your residence.

We’re all in favour of different wings of the party talking to one another. Here we see ex-Corbynite Rokhsana Fiaz and “very good friend” the new Corbynite MP for Ilford South engaging in conversation at a Labour Party BBQ. Strange. The Mayor of Newham is there, the Leader of Redbridge isn’t.

The composition of the council has changed and there are concerns being expressed that this reflects a particular direction in which the mayor will seek to take the borough; specifically with regard to securing her third term in office.
