We are not going to carry every candidate for council, but this declaration is interesting. It is becoming evident that Labour is going to come under pressure from some of its former members.

In what must be one of the more unusual announcements, we learn that the CPA, (Christian People’s Alliance) has chosen Simeon Ademolake as their candidate for mayor.

We take a swipe at most of those who are standing down or those who have been removed, albeit unwillingly, from Labour’s list for 2022. Genuinely, we would like to say thank you, for the time and the efforts you have put in to serving the borough.

Labour has now decided upon its candidates for the 2022 local elections in May. It seems like a victory for Mayor Fiaz who has cleared out almost all of those connected to the ancien regime and imported a number who will be unfamiliar to readers, and to most of the local Labour Party!

An article in UKMalayalee.com suggests that South Indians are beginning to lose their affection for Labour.

In a strategic decision, aimed at unseating cabinet member James Asser, The Green Party have teamed up with the Campaign to Save Newham City Farm to fight the seats in Beckton. In their words:

The failure of Mayor Fiaz to address the core problems of the residents of Newham may well come back to bite her. Scanning through local social media there are several themes that should give Labour some cause for concern.

We learn that Newham’s Chief Executive, Althea Loderick, is moving on to take on new challenges in Southwark.

You may recall that prior to her election, Ms Fiaz was very keen on openness and transparency and lots of council meetings.

The mayor’s new community organ carried an interesting headline this month.

Time was, in the boring old days, when Labour went about its internal business and nobody else was any the wiser.

Normally, we would not encourage councillors to embroil themselves or their councils in political campaigns beyond their borough borders.

The bullying issue is not going away for Mayor Fiaz.
